The truth is as Christians we have been
asked a similar question before. How
high does the price of discipleship have to be before we stop following?
Instead of just asking for an arm or a let, Christ requires our talents, our
joys, our life. “any of you who does not
give up everything he has cannot be my disciple” (Luke 14:33) . The greatness of God’s glory demands that we
pay the price… even if it means our life.
Christ never claimed for a minute that this would be an easy task. In fact, he compared it to carrying the cross
which is a reminder that he had already paid this high price for us. On the cross Christ gave his very life that
we might know the glory of God.
