Why I Love the South

The southern part of the province is a different world. Leave behind the hustle and bustle of a modern city, and step back in time several decades.  The streets are narrow and horses and old donkey carts roam the streets.  It is much more traditional. All of the women wear headscarves and are decked out in sparkly long dresses.  They do their shopping at the bazaar on market day or from the street sellers who push their fruit carts up and down the street calling out what they have to sell.  It sounds peaceful, but millions of U people are dying in these towns without ever hearing about true peace.
