A Young Women Who Needs Your Prayers

Her name is Halide but, for the sake of the story, let’s call her Hanna. Hanna is a 28 year old believing YOU woman. She was married early in life, like most girls from her village, and within the first year of her marriage was blessed with a baby boy.  It soon became apparent that something was wrong; her son was developing slower than the other children.  Her husband didn’t stick around to help with the child, but instead divorced her and left her to raise the child on her own.  Hanna’s family told her to get rid of the baby so that she would be able to find a new husband and get remarried.  They saw her and the child as a burden on the family income.  It was later discovered that her son had celiac disease and all the gluten in a YOU diet of nan and noodles had caused such severe problems, that even at the age of seven he can’t walk or talk.

She has some training in doing hair and has tried working at a wedding photo shop doing people’s hair for their pictures. Her boss complained about her bringing her son to work every day.  She tried to leave him at home, but her parents were so busy in the fields they would leave him at home alone.  Recently, in an attempt to improve her skills, she has come up to the big city to take a wedding make-up class.  Her dream is to open her own shop someday where she can watch her son and share with her clientele the joy that Jesus gives her despite a difficult life (in her hometown there are no other known believers for her to fellowship with).  She is currently staying at our house as she goes to make-up school.  Hanna’s family is opposed to her being gone for two months as they are watching her son.  She is struggling to pay for her classes and save up enough money to open her own business.  Please keep her in your prayers. She is a sweet sister who is trying to follow her heavenly Father, support her son, and tell the people in her home town about Jesus.
