Volume #5 Issue #2 November 2008 - Kings May Rise and Fall

While standing on the ruined wall of one of Central Asia’s all-time greatest conqueror’s old fortresses I was truck afresh by the power of our God  This stone fortress was built  to be strong and keep out the enemy.  It was surrounded by huge mountains and impossible landscapes, which has helped to keep it preserved to this day.  While the building itself might still be visible, this mans’ kingdom, rule and power over this area disappeared more than 2 thousand years ago.  We are reminded over and over in the Word that “the kings of the earth belong to God”  (psalm 48:7) “H bring prices to naught and reduces the rulers of this world to nothing” (Is. 40:23).  His kingdom is eternal.  NO matter who is in charge of this land,  no matter the current government situation, our God is above it.  He is the one in control and the one to be praised by all peoples of this land.
