Let them Praise

King David was called a fool when He danced in front of the ark of the Lord as it was brought back to Jerusalem.  In response he declared “so I am willing to act like a fool in order to show my joy in the LORD” (2 Sam 6:22NLT).  For the YOU people, dancing is not foolish but a way that they could use their own culture to express the commandment found in Psalm 149:3-4: “Let them praise His name with dancing: Let them sing praises to Him with timbrel and lyre.  For the LORD takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the afflicted ones with salvation.”  But they will never know they can be His children, they can never know that their greatest joy can be found in and expressed unto Him, until they have heard His name proclaimed.

Ask Him to make me bold in my sharing of His name, and the good news of His work on the cross.  Ask that one day we will be joined around the throne by thousands of YOUs dancing with joy.
