Michael and Spencer had the opportunity to participate in a business conference with a group of believing men and women from around the world who are seeking to open and conduct business in a way that brings glory to God and transformation in communities around the world. It is a wonderful conference to network with others in similar situations and meet coaches. As they left we were asking that they would be able to network well and find an organic farming coach as we start planting vegetables in our green houses they left with some promising leads in this area. This conference is also special to us as it is not just about work, it also is a good source of spiritual refreshment through godly speakers sharing from the word, times of worship and testimonies of people seeing personal and community transformation through their businesses. We give thanks that both Michael and Spencer had this opportunity to get away and be physically and spiritually refreshed.
While they were gone Sarah and Karen continued to push along at the factory, trying to chip away at the never ending to do list, including little things like fixing the window our angry contractor broke months ago. This small repair feels like a final closing of the door on that difficult time in our factory's history and is a huge symbol of God's ongoing faithfulness to us. We are so thankful for the way you all stood with us and faithfully prayed for us in that difficult relationship.
We also recently made a trip out to our dried apricot supplier. The small village was about a four hour drive away in a very remote location. It was exciting for us to consider that Father is opening the door for our company to have relationships in such rural areas. He is making ways for us to increase our impact in other ways, too, as we look to hire staff on a full time basis. This includes the ladies that we have already been working with and training, along with some other key employees needed for regulatory reasons. We are also asking Father to provide us with a green house manager who will be responsible for growing our vegetables.
We are starting a big production push in the next few weeks. The purpose is to help the ladies get more comfortable in the job, as well as providing us with samples of each flavour that we can send in for nutritional labeling on the back of our pouches and others that can be sent out for taste testing and building a customer base. Our goal is to start full production next month.
Finally we ask for your help. The marketing company that we have been talking to has a detailed plan for using social media to spread the word about our product. We want to send out several posts a week. If you love writing or know someone who enjoys it we would appreciate your help in contributing to our company's output. We would also love to get connected with several moms who blog regularly about their family and home life, letting our customers have a window into western homes and Godly families. We are also interested in articles written by doctors and nurses. We would like to see good content on raising children, parenting, breastfeeding, potting training, sleep training and children’s health issues. We want our website and social media to be an information source for parents that encourages them in their role and empowers them to raise their kids well. If you know a family based ministry group that is producing good content and would like to see some of it translated and having a more global impact, please help us get connected
