Although I am not directly involved in political advocacy, I am encouraged to see more governments, NGOs, churches, and individuals advocate for the U community. There have recently been sanctions placed on local officials responsible for the internment in re-education camps of at least 1 million U men and women. The UN is hearing testimony about allegations of genocide centering on forced assimilation, mass incarcerations, compulsory abortions, and involuntary sterilization. As the world awakens to the human-rights needs of the U nation, I am grateful for your continued partnership with me as I work with others to meet the spiritual needs of this isolated people group.
