Early in the morning, just as the sun was raising men
started to make their way to the mosque for prayer time. It was the holiday celebrating the end of
Ramadan, the fasting was behind and the feasting was about to begin, but first
all the men gathered at the mosque to pray.
It was quite a sight to behold, as far as they eye could see there were
men with carpets and mates tucked under their arms, making their way in the
same direction. Father’s holding the
hand of their young son, introducing Him to proper forms of worship, old men
getting push along in wheelchairs, so that despite their age and mobility they
could still participate in one of the biggest Muslim holidays of the year. There was even a young man guiding a blind
friend by the hand. J told a similar
parable about the blind leading the blind and both falling into a pit. While the one friend’s eyes might have been
opened to see pot holes, or electric scooters along the street, his eyes have
also been blinded to the real truth that comes through worshiping J alone. Please continue to pray for this province and
these people, that they would be lead into the light of true worship. Ask that Father would be sending more workers
to our city to be people who guide others to life.
