On the Move Volume# 14 Issue # 2 Date: January 2018

Yesterday, as I was testing translated portions of the Word, we came across a passage in Numbers 9:15-23 that has been a huge encouragement to me over the last year. Moses and the Israelites are in the wilderness and, in a very repetitive passage, we are told that, when the cloud covered over the tabernacle, they stayed and, when it moved, they packed up camp and followed. All of their comings and goings were in accordance with the command of the Lord and in obedience to Him. This past year has been filled with unknown timetables, forced transitions, moving cities, jobs and so much uncertainty.  What a relief it is to know that all of these changes are in His hands and I only need to obey and ‘go’ when we says so. Even so, in all of this, He has been teaching me about my own stubborn independence that desperately wants to set my own schedule instead of trusting and relying on His perfect timing.
