Dear Friends of Eleanor's Garden,
This email has been a difficult one to write, because each time we have
drafted it, it has been significantly out of date by the time we
finished it.
Michael and family returned from a month in England at the start of May,
and then launched into frenetic activity and some deadlines for our main
contractor - with both serious carrot and stick - bonuses and lawyers...
This seemed to come at an opportune time and this last week we have had
up to 5 separate work crews on site on any given day. The pillars are
being painted with fire-proof paint, the ground outside is prepared for
the driveway (concrete should start being poured in the next few days).
Please be asking for continued rapid progress, without sacrificing quality.

The inside fitting out is nearly done -
we hope to do some test runs
through all the equipment this week with Karen's Dad who is visiting -
he has experience as an industrial engineer. Please ask for wisdom that
we would establish good procedures that are both safe and efficient.
In Michael's absence Karen and our local employee Wayne completed the
preparation of the documentation needed for the Food Production License
application, we hope to be able to submit this soon, together with our
fire safety licence application. These two are really big steps, that
could somewhere from 3 to 6 months. Please be lifting up these
applications and all the other paperwork we need before we open for
business.

main responsibility will be to help build the infant care and nutrition
content on our website. We want to have articles to help guide parents in
raising their children and making healthy choices. Sarah’s background in
healthcare, combined with her years of experience in this province will
make her a wonderful addition to our team.
