Perhaps you have wondered just how effective is making
banana bread, Christmas Cookies and delivering them to your neighbours, hosting
tea parties, or even teaching English to you neighbours in the big picture of
getting to know the people around you and sharing the love of Him. Let me tell you – we can’t travel up and down
the elevator, walk out to the main street, or go to the small convince store
within the apartment complex without Karen striking up conversations with
several people, kissing babies, and giving out her phone number to reconnect
later. I have jokingly asked her what political office she is running for. We have also been invited into several Uyghur
homes due to her friendliness and Glenn has had the opportunity to pray for
these families with Karen translating. Yap
that hearts will be changed through these simple but time consuming acts of
love and friendship.
