We have a
name for our product “Eleanor’s Garden Baby food”. We are currently in the process of legally
registering it name in all three needed local languages. Just this week the
design company sent us some sample logos.
We ran the
nutritional contents of our favorite 6 flavors by a few infant nutritionist
and were told we needed to improve their iron content. I have been trying to cook using more
spinach, but it is really hard to get it to taste good.
The
beginning of Aug we all went to Business 4 Transformation conference for
Christian business men who are interested in using their expertise, knowledge,
and deep pockets to help cross cultural workers like improve our
companies. We made and official pitch of
our business plan, like they do on the TV show – Dragon’s Den, and tried to
make a deal for the added investment money we need to continue making organic
Baby food. Based on the audiences
reaction, and their voting us through to the next round, I can say that they
pitch went great. But the investors
still thought it was too early on in the project for them to invest any serious
amounts of money. They gave us 10,000
USD as an encouragement to keep at it. we are thankful for their feedback and
business suggestions they gave us, but financially that barely put a dent in
the remaining 325 000 we still need.
